Our client is seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist responsible for performing mammography and assisting with related radiographic breast procedures. The role involves ensuring compliance with Federal (MQSA), State (Texas Department of State Health Services), and ACR guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:Mammography Procedures:- Perform high-quality mammograms using proper positioning and correct operation of digital mammography equipment.
- Prepare the mammography room before and after procedures.
- Conduct required quality control/quality assurance procedures according to STRIC policy.
- Document patient history and previous films, if any.
- Acquire and maintain computer skills necessary for the proper use of mammography equipment, STRIC radiology information system, and PACS.
- Cross-train in other functions or positions and assume additional responsibilities to ensure departmental operation.
- Support the mission and vision of South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and uphold the code of conduct and ethical behavior.
- Understand and enforce applicable South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers’ policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
- Perform duties and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or 10+ years of experience in the modality required.
- Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
- Current CPR certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient experience required.
