Job Summary:
As the MM and Minor TAR advisor you will act in support of MM Leadership for the MM strategy, maintenance budget, life cycle planning, and continuous improvement and be the single point of accountability for field activities and repairs related to their respective scope(s). You will be accountable for the planning and coordination related to these activities, as well as the safe and efficient execution of the plan.
You will also act as the liaison with various craft contractors and contractor superintendents to ensure adherence to the budget and schedules. The MM and Minor TAR advisor exhibits bp leadership expectations, is a safety and environmental leader within the team, upholds bp values and behaviors, and communicates how asset team performance drives delivery of BPW business objectives.
Job Description:
Key Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for health, safety, and environmental performance to achieve the goal of no accidents, no harm to people and to the environment.
  • Supports the implementation of safety improvement recommendations.
  • Achieves and adheres to HSE+C goals and policies.
  • Safely performing targeted maintenance work outages as required
  • Providing field supervision support of emergency non-routine repairs (e.g., in-service seal repairs)
  • Collaborating with contractor teams to secure the vital labor and field supervision to complete planned work.
  • Adhering to BPW work management processes and C2 Contractor Policy
  • Reviewing and approving contractor billing in TRACK, SAP (ZML85)
  • Reviewing and signing job notes for constructability on their respective projects.
  • Ensuring job note requirements are understood and followed during field execution.
  • Ensuring support staff (inspections, crane support, etc..) is properly scheduled to ensure efficient execution of field activities.
  • Supports a zero overdue culture with all crucial tasks, KMS actions, and IRIS items related assigned work
  • Working with contractors, as well as environmental, process engineering, and operations contacts to ensure full alignment of strategies.
  • Ensuring timely completion of maintenance compliance activities, including environmental, integrity, and safety critical work
  • Running all rental equipment requests related to their specific projects in SAP.
  • Support related MOCs
  • Participating in scheduling and other meetings and providing accurate updates on their projects.
  • Leading project contact for contractors, job reps, and Asset Coordinators with regards to the execution of the weekly schedule for their specific projects
  • All applicable notifications to environmental (e.g., inspection of new seal components, deck fitting sheets, and timely recording of TAR phases on Environmental tracking document
  • Settling accurate scope definition for repairs and ensuring quality constructability reviews of engineering deliverables
  • Scheduling changes related to adjustments to priorities, staffing, or financials INFORMED with:
  • Budget changes (reductions, shifts, etc.)
  • Compliance scope changes (reductions, deferrals, etc.)
  • handover date changes
  • Provides input into worklist and scope reviews.
  • Terms of job notes from a constructability view.
  • Schedule updates as communicated through contractors.
  • Change order requests.
  • Flag potential issues early related to safety, environmental, cost, or schedules
  • Unplanned backlog prioritization
  • Input into PJSA conversations and risk assessments
  • Work break-in priority
  • Providing maintenance constructability input into Job Note (work package)

Essential Experience and Education:
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Specific skills and knowledge of maintenance work practices, equipment, and test methods.
  • Strong front line leadership skills, including advising, appraising, counseling, and coaching employees.
  • Leadership skills in scheduling and labor requirements.
  • Knowledge of work permitting and risk assessment process for maintenance preparation / execution activities
  • Demonstrates basic cost control skills.
  • Strong Maintenance and Reliability skill and background
  • Understanding of Reliability principles and tools
  • Recognizes applicable codes and standards as applied to the maintenance of refining equipment.
  • Is competent in reading technical drawings.
  • Personal behaviors: Adaptability, communication, performance bias and taking the lead.
  • Leadership behaviors: Energize the team, act significantly. Understands the union-company labor agreement.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in maintenance work execution using the work management process.
  • Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced multifaceted work environment
  • Bachelor's degree
