Our client, a prominent, religious organization is looking for a seasoned Major Gifts Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role will focus on Major Gifts in support of their $100M anniversary campaign consisting of their annual and capital fund for major improvements. As a team, you'll devise and implement strategies to acquire, renew and upgrade major donors, developing projects to complement the campaign plan.

Major Gifts Officer Responsibilities:

• Within the team, develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to expand donor portfolio for the Annual Fund and the special capital/endowment campaign
• Manage a portfolio of 150+ major donors and prospects
• Build a pipeline of new donors
• Help develop and plan fundraising events and programs
• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships, increase engagement and funding

Major Gifts Officer Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a donor-centered development program; Track record of closing Major Gifts in both Annual and Capital Funds
• Exceptional writing, verbal, and editing skills
• Knowledge and Connection to New York Jewish Philanthropic Networks
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective Major Gifts fundraising, individual and family stewardship, and solicitation strategies
• Deep understanding of campaign analytics and experience using insights derived from data to enhance strategies
• Innovative, hands-on and goal-oriented professional who can hit the ground running
