ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.
We currently have an opening for a Maintenance/Facilities Assistant. The Maintenance/Facilities Assistant is responsible for light maintenance duties to assist the Maintenance/Facilities team with day to day tasks.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Basic upkeep of the facility to include cleaning internal/external areas on campus, garbage removal, hanging fixtures, and other light maintenance duties
- Set up and break down for meetings, lunches, events, etc.
- Respond to and fix basic safety related maintenance issues
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Light industrial maintenance technician to include light electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
- Maintain sidewalks during wintertime
- Performs and/or assists with weekly/monthly/annual inspections
- Other duties as assigned
A qualified candidate will be proactive and possess these requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of basic maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- A self-started and resourceful
- Good math, computer, organization skills
- High attention to detail
- Possess good communication skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with little or ambiguous instructions
- Likes to problem solve
- Enjoys working on a variety of projects
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- An understanding of OSHA rules and regulations such as lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hot work, hazardous communications, and other safe working practices.
