Maintenance/Custodian

McGrew Equipment, founded in 1999, is a full-service auction house that specializes in construction & tractor auctions. McGrew hosts a bi-weekly auction that allows for both online bidding and on-location bidding at our headquarters in Seven Valleys, PA.

The Maintenance/Custodian will be responsible for keeping buildings and property clean and neat, in a safe manner that meets company standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to the following):

• Light maintenance work; changing light bulbs, assembling furniture, hanging fixtures/mounting tv’s, etc.
• Re-arranging furniture or other office equipment as necessary
• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Scrubs, sanitizes; and supplies restroom facilities.
• Cleans windows, mirrors and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
• Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial experience of at least 6 months.
• Light maintenance experience of at least 6 months.

Essential Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and may infrequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
