Job Description:
The Maintenance Worker I- Groundskeeper is responsible for performing general inside and outside building and grounds maintenance activities to include but is not limited to: mow, trim trees, dig ditches and trenches; clean surrounding areas. Perform manual labor involved in park and trail maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Operates hand and power tools such as trimmers, outdoor handheld power equipment and mowers. Safely operates tools and equipment in all types of weather or conditions.
- Maintains green areas by mowing, weeding, landscaping, and trimming vegetation.
- Maintains facilities, tools, and equipment for preventative maintenance, proper function, and cleanliness.
- Maintains trails free of trash and debris.
- Daily inspects facilities, vehicles, equipment, and tools thoroughly; reporting mechanical defects, needed repairs to supervisor or on written reports.
- Reports hazardous, dangerous, or unsafe conditions immediately and completes necessary written reports.
- Successfully works well in groups and is a good team player.
- Performs other related tasks and work in emergency situations, as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Six (6) months of related work experience.
- Requires knowledge of power and hand tools.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- A Valid Texas Driver’s License.
