Job Purpose
General maintenance including, but not limited to: construction, repair, cleaning, and regular upkeep of all facets of Artesian Alliance grounds and facilities.
Essential Duties
- Perform routine repairs on structures, equipment, machinery, plumbing and electrical fixtures on a variety of mechanical equipment and systems
- Maintain all facilities in an attractive, healthy and safe manner
- Operate equipment including, but not limited to: lawn mower, edger, weed eater, backpack blower, tractor, chain saw
- Move and replace soil, gravel, sand and other rock and mineral materials
- Remove debris and waste from walkways, boardwalks, and grounds as needed
- Perform duties, including but not limited to: carpentry, carpet/tile installation, small electrical projects, painting, masonry, plumbing, locksmithing, mechanical repairs
- Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on buildings, fences, machinery, systems, vehicles, etc.
- Attends all assigned trainings, meetings, and workshops
- Assists with maintenance and preparation for special events, interdepartmental projects, and promotions as assigned
- Adheres to all department policies and procedures
- Consistently and reliably reports for all scheduled shifts without tardiness and show willingness to cover unscheduled shifts as needed

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Possesses a minimum of two years of experience in facility maintenance demonstrating knowledge and experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Demonstrates knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and precautions in all facets of facility maintenance
- Possesses experience operating various types of machinery including, but not limited to: forklift, scissor lift, bobcat, and pallet jack
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Certified Pool Operators Permit
- Must be available for weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
- Must be available on short notice in the event of emergencies and natural disasters.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Standing, reaching, bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, crawling, jumping and digging is required of this position
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, motorized carts, lawn mowers, hand/power tools
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, steps and uneven terrain
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors under all conditions and temperatures
- Ability to lift and move items up to 70 pounds for short distances without difficulty
Work Enviroment
- Employee is expected to work both inside and outside. Must be comfortable working in various settings including, buildings, site grounds, offices, and a park / zoo setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20,800.00 - $31,200.00 per year
