QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate aptitude and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs to
buildings and equipment. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL with bus endorsements within first 120 days of employment.
REPORTS TO:
Supervisor Plants (Buildings) and Security and/or Designee.
JOB GOAL:
To work to provide a safe and attractive environment for the school district's staff and students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs all of the school districts' electrical repairs and installations when assigned.
2. Performs all of the school districts' carpentry repairs and construction when assigned.
3. Performs all of the school districts' travel trade repairs and construction when assigned.
4. Performs all of the school districts' plumbing repairs and installations when assigned.
5. Repairs and maintains all of the school districts' maintenance equipment when assigned.
6. Constructs cabinets and shelving as required when assigned.
7. Performs miscellaneous painting as required when assigned.
8. Assist with set up and tear down of graduation and other events within the school district.
9. Performs other such duties and responsibilities as the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Designee may assign from time to time.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to stand, sit, and move for up to 8 hours per day to perform required job duties as required by the nature of the business that is supported.

Exposure to changing temperatures inside and outside, routine lifting and occasionally in excess of 30 pounds, handling tools and materials, operating tools and equipment, exposure to moving mechanical parts, exposure to gasoline and/or diesel fumes and airborne particles, and the exposure to occasionally loud noise produce by automotive engines.
