What You Will Do
You Will
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
- Assure each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
- Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guest room items
- Program television remotes and performs light cleanup and engineering-related duties
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean up of the painting or repair area
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year maintenance experience
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work under deadline pressure
- Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and multi-tasking abilities
- Must be willing to work long hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends) when necessary
- Exemplary time and resource management including good attendance
- Ability to maintain peak performance during high stress situations
- Wallpaper repair experience is not needed but is a plus
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
