The Maintenance Technician will work with our talented maintenance team to handle the day-to-day maintenance of our 496-unit multi-family apartment community.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Complete turn-over process of vacant apartments as directed.
- Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
- Coordinate special projects as directed.
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
- Complete grounds work as directed which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.
- Responsible for alerting Management of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has or may occur.
- Complete payroll timesheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to Management as necessary to ensure proper compensation.
- Accountable for adhering to safety standards in compliance with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of related experience in a multi-family apartment community. Universal EPA Certification is required. Must have a working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or appliance repair. Must have reliable transportation and your own tools.
All employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and must be able to interface with our residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees in a courteous manner. Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary and to cover on-call emergencies.
This position requires occasional lifting of 50-100 lbs. and frequent lifting of 10-50 lbs.
