We are a private, not-for-profit organization, committed to providing quality medical, OB-GYN, dental, and behavioral health care to residents of the area. Rural Health, Inc. has five locations throughout southern Illinois.
The Rural Health team of administrators, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, nurses, health educators, and support staff are dedicated to caring for our patients with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.
Duties:
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, electrical switches, and light fixtures.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs cleaning and janitorial duties.
- Keeps janitor’s storage areas neat and orderly and reports supply needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify any maintenance needs.
- Assists in control of sanitation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including HVAC and refrigeration units.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of common areas, including entrances and hallways.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
Experience:
- Proven experience in general maintenance work, preferably in a commercial or residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
