General Purpose
**Looking for a highly skilled painter/dry wall repair.
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties as needed to install, maintain, repair various plumbing and mechanical equipment, and facility components. Responds to assignments from Facility Maintenance Coordinator and Work Order Management System.

Job Focus
- Coordinates work load assignments and priorities with the Facility Maintenance Coordinator.
- Operates and maintains facility plumbing systems, mechanical assets, and equipment.
- Performs emergency, planned, and preventative maintenance on facility plumbing and mechanical equipment and on other facility components as needed.
- Develops preventative maintenance schedules for facility plumbing systems, mechanical assets, and equipment.
- Welds, solders, brazes, grinds, and/or fabricates various materials.
- Paints, finishes and refinishes wood, metal and other materials.
- Performs general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Completes scheduled preventative maintenance on facility plumbing systems, mechanical assets, and equipment.
- Responds to and corrects issues identified in facility maintenance work orders.
- Works with Facility Maintenance Coordinator to complete campus improvement projects.
- Operates specialized equipment, i.e., scissor-lift, power tools/equipment, i.e. table saw, miter saw, grinders, drill press, and hilti drills.
- Assists with snow removal as needed.
- Communicates effectively with all College personnel and customers.
- Works as a team player supporting the needs of the Facility Services department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High School graduation or equivalent experience.
- Must have or able to obtain forklift and scissor lift operators certifications.
- One (1) year of related specialized training provided through vocational or technical college or formal apprenticeship of progressively responsible experience.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience.
- Previous experience in coordinating with other team members required
- Journey level knowledge of best practices and principles of construction and maintenance of facilities to include carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, drywall repair, mechanical equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. **Specifically looking for those with high skills in painting and drywall repair
- Ability to interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing;
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, students, and the public.
- Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a high interpersonal contact environment;
- Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by work load and time deadlines.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and physical exertion associated with aforementioned duties.
- Requires flexibility to work day or evening shifts.
- Must possess a valid Utah Drivers License.
