Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and packaging processes. Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities, the Maintenance Technician II will troubleshoot issues, address breakdowns, and maintain a proactive approach to equipment upkeep.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:30AM-4:00PM or Monday - Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM (ability to be flexible
Key Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment such as blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, and more.
- Maintain and repair packaging equipment including labelers, cappers, heat sealers, and conveyors.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on facility infrastructure including filters, lighting, drywall, doors, and basic plumbing/electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicating effectively with operators, leads, and managers.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times, following company cleanliness standards.
- Utilize Redzone for work order management and communication with other departments.
- Fabricate parts for equipment repairs and modifications using hand tools, power tools, welder, and/or lathe.
- Assist in root cause analysis, breakdown investigations, and suggesting corrective/preventative actions.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company policies to ensure safety and quality.
- Assist with machine setups and provide training to operators and leads on equipment best practices.
- Utilize knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to maintain manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Set and track personal goals, seeking out training and growth opportunities.
Company Requirements:
- Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
- Must pass a background check.
- Ability to work in various conditions and recognize audible hazards.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 80lbs.
- Adherence to GMP, PPE, and company safety policies.
- Willingness to participate in special projects as assigned.
- Commitment to understanding and following health and safety policies.
Work Experience and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or trade certification preferred.
- 2-4 years of mechanical or maintenance experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred (not required).
