Job Description
The Maintenance Technician II performs general manufacturing production and non-production machine and equipment maintenance. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum up-time.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines.
Receive and manage time sensitive work order assignments
Read hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Troubleshoot and repair production and non-production machines and equipment.
Repair materials handling equipment as required
Troubleshoot and repair motor control and drive systems, various robotics systems, machine network systems, tooling systems, industrial control systems, and various forms of industrial automation
Observe/troubleshoot needed repairs of all types of manufacturing machines and equipment to include paint automation equipment.
Troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems.
Perform metal fabrication, welding, and heavy equipment repair
Must be willing to work any shift
All other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
(Minimum Experience)
High School Diploma or GED
AND
At least five years of manufacturing maintenance experience servicing production related equipment
Additional Requirements:
Must have organization skills and effective communication skills with both technical and professional staff
Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems
Advanced knowledge of preventive maintenance
Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines
Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per day):
o Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
o Climb using both legs and arms
o Head/neck movement
o Reach outward or above the shoulder
o Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
o Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
o Repetitive use of hands and fingers, both hands
o Use of vibrating tools
o Depth perceptions required
o Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
o Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
Desired Skills:
Associates Degree or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance
Prefer three years' experience in troubleshooting, installing, and repairing: Programmable Logic Controllers, metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, heavy equipment, painting robotics equipment, and Ethernet IP Network Systems.
Must be willing to work any shift
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Possess a basic working knowledge and understanding of industrial electrical systems with the ability to use a Volt/Ohm Meter.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, ability to disassemble and reassemble using proper equipment.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Advanced knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable, and explosive materials and environments.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance
Knowledge of INFOR and MTTR
