Job Description
We are currently seeking a Mechanically Inclined individual to assist the Maintenace Technician, with the goal of gaining enough experience to move up from Assistant to Technician.
Position Summary
Perform work involving single crafted maintenance skill sets either mechanical or electrical, to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the building in repair. Duties involve repairing mechanical equipment, changing molds in presses, rebuilding and repairing injector guns, facility sanitation & cleaning, general preventative maintenance, basic repairs of building structure and other duties as assigned.
Primary Functions
· Use of hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to perform regular job duties.
· Perform the task of changing molds according to production schedules and bring machines back to operations readiness
· Clean assigned areas, especially with regard to dust accumulation, as required or per pre-established schedules.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
· Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Other duties as assigned once trained.

Education and Experience
Education
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience/Knowledge
1-3 yr.+ maintenance experience
2 yr.+ experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of General Maintenance
Basic knowledge of electrical systems
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles & Practices

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Other: Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
