Form of workSummary of Position Responsibilities:
Perform required work for maintaining the building, associated support equipment and assist the Maintenance Technician when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively work to reduce maintenance repair and preventive maintenance costs
• Assist Maintenance Technician when required
• Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions
• Keep all work areas clean and free of oil
• Properly complete and file all required building maintenance, associated support equipment repair documents
• Effectively communicate with other departments and shifts
• Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance activities on auxiliary and support equipment in a timely manner.
• Participates in continuous improvement process as required
• Participates in 8D problem solving as required
• Performs all other assigned duties
Key Performance Measures:
- Downtime for assigned to auxiliary and support equipment.
- Completion of required equipment repair and preventative maintenance. (PM’S).
- Plant appearance relative to oil leaks and floor dry on the floor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reading 7 – 9th grade and math 8th grade to be determined by testing.
- Ability to lift 150 lbs.
- Mechanical knowledge (can disassemble and reassemble)
- Ability to supply own tools.
- Ability to obtain valid hi-lo, Crane and Main lift license.
- Good performance / Attendance record
- Must be able to demonstrate competency through job performance after training.
