2nd and 3rd shifts only - Full-time Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, Repair and Maintain all production equipment in OEM or standard operating condition.
- Test faulty equipment using precision test apparatus.
- Apply knowledge of functional operation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems to perform complex diagnostics to determine the root cause of malfunctions and execute timely repairs of equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts and wiring.
- Adjust mechanical and electronic parts.
- Align, adjust and calibrate machines according to specifications.
- Carry out preventive maintenance per written procedures.
- When necessary, ensure a timely response, repair and solution to equipment related issues by contacting and teaming with other appropriate individuals or organizations.
- Contribute to the improvement of the measurable metric objectives of the organization in the areas of equipment OPE, maintenance downtime, MTBF, yield, productivity, expenses and any other metrics determined helpful to ensure a world-class organization.
- Maintenance of microprocessor based control equipment, general instrumentation and electrical control systems used to carry out first line diagnostic, troubleshooting and maintenance work.
- Investigate the root cause of issues and provide information to Engineers and Project Leaders, as assigned.
- Perform and/or Assist with equipment/tooling setups.
- Assist PTCs, Operators and/or Engineers with resolving production issues.
- Enter and retrieve data for repair parts and maintenance tasks, as required.
- Maintenance & housekeeping of shop area, tools, and materials.
- Assist Engineers in the design and development of innovative technologies in support of the product portfolio, as assigned.
- Assist in Operator training related to equipment setup and maintenance.
- Assist in the development of process documentation, equipment maintenance standards, BOMs, detailed parts breakdowns, assembly, testing and setup procedures, as assigned. Document and maintain prototype construction, test data and related documentation.
- Assist in the research and evaluation of new or replacement electronic/mechanical components.
- Participate in special projects working under descriptive instructions, including new installations, retrofits and upgrades, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- 5 years of experience as a mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical technician, or relevant combination of experience and education.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work individually and within a Team environment
- Must be able to work under pressure to diagnose problems.
- Must be able to read and understand relay logic and schematic diagrams, perform tests and follow calibration procedures using test equipment and instrumentation.
- Must be able to use various hand tools, power tools, saws, drill press, volt/ohm meter, oscilloscope, amp probe, soldering iron.
- Ability to listen, speak, and write in the English language is required.
- Ability to use routine software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
Preferred Qualification
AA degree in electro-mechanical technology
