Maintenance Technician
Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a food manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, industrial knowledge, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly
- Monitor the proper functioning of the fire protection, cooling and waste water systems
- Install new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks
- Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment status
- Maintain the building according to OSHA, BRC, and housekeep best practices with support from production personnel
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, within food manufacturing environment is desired
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Have a basic experience with software (Microsoft, Office)
- Flexible person and willing to work overtime/weekends as needed
