What You will do:
- Disassemble machinery units or parts to discover faults and malfunctions and then accurately reassemble
- Troubleshoot problems
- Collaborating with other maintenance workers to repair machinery
- Perform assurance checks on repaired machines and record their overall health
- Review and evaluate the functionality of production machines
- Read and understand blueprints
- Install new production equipment
- Fabricating and welding as required
- Perform required hydraulic repairs
- Ensure all predictive and preventive programs are followed and maintained
- Ensure all company and government standards are followed and enforced for the equipment and facilities
- Ensure that all capital equipment is maintained to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards
- Create good customer relations with operational leaders
Required Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years Experience in manufacturing machinery repair
- Experience repairing and trouble-shooting PLC-related machinery
- Basic electrical and hydraulic print reading skills.
- Capable of performing basic electrical and hydraulic repair
- Capable of performing basic pipefitting and welding
- Experience repairing and trouble-shooting manufacturing machinery, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, single phase, and three phase electrical systems
- Must be able to maintain Hilo certification and crane certification
- Basic computer skills to work with a work order system or CMMS
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Must have problem-solving skills
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
