The Shelter Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal Maintenance Technician will proactively maintain and repair all areas of the apartment community, while displaying a strong sense of customer service.
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician at Shelter Corporation:
- High school Diploma or equivalent degree required
- Must live within 35 minutes of the facility
- Physical Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, squat and withstand external weather conditions as needed
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician at Shelter Corporation:
- Perform light building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs
- Perform outdoor maintenance duties including:
- Watering lawns, trees, shrubs and flowerbeds
- Shoveling walks and sanding / salting icy areas
- Sweeping walks and curbs
- Implement proper preventive maintenance measures to ensure the safety and continued comfort of all residents and be readily available in the event of an emergency
- Assist with apartment turnover on the first and last days of each month
