Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

We are actively seeking a reliable, skilled worker to perform essential maintenance tasks throughout our new facility. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and new projects. You will have the ability to grow in this position and develop Maintenace programs for our new and expanding production facility.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Installs, maintains, repairs production equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems.

• Inspects, tests and troubleshoots production and plant equipment.

• Preventive maintenance requires lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components.

• Tests and maintains the functionality of the facility’s safety systems.

• Oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

• Installs, diagnose and repairs electrical equipment such as motors/starters, wiring and control panels as required. PLC experience is a benefit.

• To perform a variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain facility structures, electrical systems, heating systems, HVAC systems, etc.

• Operates forklift to place equipment, supplies, or other maintenance personnel at point of repair.

• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School diploma and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work on process and production equipment

• Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position

• Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with production and plant equipment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• General passion for creative problem-solving

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

Desired Skills:

• Related degree from a technical college a plus

• Bi-Lingual – Spanish

• Chemical Manufacturing Experience

• Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping systems

• Experience with filling and packaging machines

• Electrical Certification

• Electrical knowledge with PLC background is a plus

• Welding
