We are looking for a skilled Maintenance person, who can perform PM tasks, upkeep on repairs to machines and equipment.
Our job is to keep production going and making sure the machines are running properly and safely.
Along with keeping up on facility duties.
Full job description
- Proven experience as a welder
- Perform professional maintenance tasks
- Perform repairs in timely manner
- Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, and Plumbing repairs and/or work.
- Troubleshoot, provide minor repair, or repair any Overhead door, Wind shelters, Dock plate and/or fork truck repairs
- Replace simple electrical devices
- Keep work area and shop clean
· Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, etc.)
· Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
· Ability to read and interpret drawings
· Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made.
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind.
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts.
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner.
- Experienced Welder: MIG & TIG, Aluminum & Steel
Working Conditions
· Indoor dusty, non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment that are subject to temperatures that range from 55 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant. Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform.
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop.
- Ability to read, interpret and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&ID)
- Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test.
Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule after training is 0500 – 1500
- 8 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- On call for Second and Third shift.
