The Role You Play
The Maintenance Technician at Pawnee is responsible for diagnosing and making simple repairs for Pawnee’s facilities, working under the supervision of our Facilities Manager. Pawnee Mental Health services 10 counties with soon to be 17 offices across them, and 5 additional buildings that require support – including basic electrical repairs, moving office furniture, painting, and small plumbing projects.
- The Day-to-Day
- Actively assess incoming maintenance and facilities related requests, identifying with minimal supervision which are within the scope of the tech’s knowledge and which require the attention of the Facilities Manager
- Diagnose on-site building maintenance issues and make repairs when able
- Complete special projects including office relocation, minor construction projects, painting, etc.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Follow all safety standards in completion of duties
- Work as a team member and participate in cross training when necessary
- May be required to come in after hours or on weekends if project loads or sudden facilities emergencies require
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is capable and handy, able to work with minimal supervision. They should be willing to learn and have a strong attention to detail, as well as a love of working with their hands.
- Required
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy
- 2+ years of experience in the performance of basic maintenance tasks
- Communication skills using the English language
- Available to work odd hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary
- Preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Office/residential construction or building repair experience
