SHIFT: 8pm - 6am Monday - Thursday
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance and Engineering
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Performs maintenance assignments involving the routine preventive maintenance, repair, installation and set-up of manufacturing/packaging equipment.
- Duties aligned with operations to maintain equipment and support systems in validated and compliant state.
- Comply with all regulatory/cGMP guidelines and Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging standards and policies.
- Performs changeovers (set-ups) fine tunes and assist in line start-ups. Leads and mentors production crews to achieve optimum performance.
- Constantly looking for ways to improve and focus on achieving production goals.
- Makes running adjustments and repairs as necessary to keep lines running smoothly.
- Performs preventative maintenance, planned repairs and assigned projects.
- Responsible for start-up and shut down of equipment and facilities according to schedules.
- Assist engineering installations, modifications, upgrades, validations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED is required. Technical or Trade school is a plus.
Experience maintaining, repairing industrial packaging equipment, especially blistering, tablet filling, labelers, vision systems is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, servo motors is a plus.
Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional mechanical aptitude is a must.
Machinist skills are a plus.
Must have the ability to work independently in an ever changing intense environment and strive for success.
