Job Summary: 
The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance repairs for assigned equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities are (including but not limited to):           

• Perform monthly preventative maintenance to ensure facility equipment are operating properly.
• Perform general repairs to equipment that do not require a specialized technician.
• Inspect and identify equipment in need of repair.
• Maintain and order inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Consult with facility maintenance leader on items that require more specialized repairs.
• Consult with machinists and inspectors to follow up with maintenance requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:  

• Ability to perform general mechanical and light repair tasks on machinery, equipment, and building facilities.
• Ability to follow instructions from senior maintenance workers and maintenance leads.
• Capable of using API for scheduling and signing off maintenance tasks
• Electrical maintenance knowledge utilizing a volt-ohmmeter.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent time management skills.

 

Special Requirements:

• Candidate must be able to obtain a Hazardous Materials Certification

 

Education and Experience Requirements:  

• Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years maintenance experience preferred.

 

Physical Demands:   

• Must be able to move/lift 50lbs on occasion, as needed.
• Must be able to operate forklift/lift carts.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
• Working Conditions:
  • Works in a controlled climate.
  • Occasional outdoor work required. Small amounts of machine noise.
  • Works around hazardous chemicals.
• PPE required and provided by company.
