The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability goals, key performance indicators, and maintenance objectives. Perform a diverse set of tasks and duties, including assessing the overall effectiveness of maintenance procedures, and performance metrics. Utilize an array of software and tools, including the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), to manage inventories, maintenance tickets, and related records. All duties are performed with knowledge of and compliance with safety standards, including, but not limited to proper personal protective equipment (PPE), lifting techniques, fork-lift and rigging operations, fall protection, lock out/tag out, arc flash and confined space permits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure safety needs are given top priority in work planning and scheduling, while observing Click Bond policies, as well as national and local regulations.
• Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in conjunction with Microsoft Excel to monitor and maintain performance metrics, work instructions, inventories, documentation, and kitting for recurring jobs.
• Use records, files, and related metrics to conduct field audits and analyze safety maintenance activities, identifying opportunities to improve the organization.
• Manage and schedule maintenance team required trainings and required recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with Facility Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Production departments to identify and resolve issues.
• Manage outside service contracts and vendor communication.
• Prepare standard operation procedures and job plans for the Facility Maintenance team to conduct corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
• Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance task development, as well as maintain compliance with codes and standards.
• Examine all maintenance tickets against established rules, determining scope, priority, resources, and schedule to accomplish the work. Assign maintenance tickets to the appropriate member of the Maintenance team.
• Consult with stakeholders and when needed, attend Facilities meetings to clarify the scope of work and project plans.
• Schedule and review progress on all maintenance tickets, ensuring timely completion.
• Ensure completed maintenance tickets are correctly reported in CMMS.
• Identify and maintain inventories for critical and spare parts, verifying that parts are ordered by the Maintenance team.
• Consult with vendors as needed to develop maintenance practices and order parts.
• Organize, categorize, and with management approval, dispose of decommissioned inventories.
• Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
• Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
• Experience with reliability improvement methods, technologies, and tools.
• Experience working with predictive maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of and experience with maintenance planning and scheduling practices.
• Spare part or inventory management experience.
• Demonstrated best practice in maintenance planning/scheduling
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and prints.
• Knowledge of CMMS and related systems/software.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Experience leading and participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in managing service provider, contractors and vendors
• Ability to write work progress updates, procedures, work instructions, forms, and other paperwork, in addition to maintaining records and logs (both handwritten and electronic).
• Must be able to perform duties from written and verbal instruction, sketches, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, visual aids, and memory recall.
• Knowledgeable in general safety procedures, including spill response, hazardous material handling/labeling (HMIS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and 6S.
• Familiarity with the Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS).
• Able to communicate with vendors, as well as recommend and fill out purchase requests for suggested services, replacement parts, and supplies.
• Interpersonal skills that enable collaboration, assistance, and training of team members.
• When required, able to adjust normal work schedule.
• Ability to write and read English

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associates Degree preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience working with CMMS or equivalent planning/administrative systems.
• CMRT Certification or similar certification preferred.
• Five years’ experience in administration, planning, or scheduling.
• Completion of two-year vocational school, apprenticeship, or journeyman is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination, including the ability to outstretch arms and grasp with hands.
• Handle small parts, less than ¼” in size.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance of use of a forklift.
• Stand, sit, crawl, climb, and kneel, over an 8-hour shift.
• Regularly walk up to 300 yards.
• Adequate close, peripheral, depth perception, and color vision.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Common industrial chemical and fume exposure will occur. PPE will be worn where required.
• Adequate PPE is required where hot and cold work conditions exist.
• Assignments to perform work outdoors and indoors can be expected.
• Exposure to typical weather conditions, resulting in personal discomfort, allergies, etc. can be expected.
• Exposure to electrical current and potential shock, natural and compressed gases, and moving parts and equipment could occur.
• Noise levels can exceed 85 db. When applicable, ear protection must be worn.
