Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift)

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services.
Schedule: The full-time Maintenance Mechanics work 12-hour Night shifts after the initial training (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM, for about 2 weeks). Night shift schedule is 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM.
Compensation: The starting rate for this role is up to $35.96/hr plus 7.5% pay differential for Night Shift hours worked, equaling up to$38.65/HR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for following procedures to ensure safety, quality and equipment uptime.
- Install, maintain and repair single and multi-stage pumps, motors, drives, bearings and pipe systems
- Replace bearings on equipment, remove and install gear boxes
- Fit pipes, conduct electrical repair, fabricate equipment
- Work on and troubleshoot 480v/220 volt single phase, 3phase, 120 volt, 24 volt controls, VFD controllers, overloads, contactors, circuit breakers, limit switches, conveyors, etc.
- Perform hydraulic cylinder repairs/replacement including lines and valves as needed
- Light MIG and TIG welding
- Operate shop equipment and basic hand tools as needed, such as: band saw, mill, lath, drill press
- Accurate documentation including CMMS
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Keep equipment and work area clean, safe and organized
- Report on issues, and work performed
- Additional responsibilities as required by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Related Certification, technical school strongly desired
- 2-4 years electrical, plant maintenance, and millwright experience preferred
- Ability to read/interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Structure welding (stick / SMAW welding) training and experience a plus
- Ability to work with single and 3phase power
- Ability to work on 480 VFD controllers
- Ability to wear a respirator and remain clean shaven
- Computer skills, able to use MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, CMMS
