SalaryMAINTENANCE MANAGER
Columbia Forest Products in Newport, Vermont seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager, who is interested in learning, contributing to our business, and assuming increasing responsibility.
Candidates should have a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or manufacturing field and a minimum of three years of manufacturing work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with planned maintenance systems (e.g. TPM, work order system, CMMS) and the ability to make an immediate, positive impact is essential, experience in wood products manufacturing a plus.
The successful candidate’s development and training plan will include:
- A period of indoctrination and training in all aspects of hardwood veneer production and management controls.
- Familiarization with plant equipment, its operation, capabilities, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarization with production reporting and accounting systems.
- Participation as a member of the Safety Committee, Leadership Qualification Program, and various problem-solving groups.
- Indoctrination in the concepts of “Lean Manufacturing”.
