- Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components
- Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts
- Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments
- Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery
- Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified
- Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources
- Other duties as assigned
- Operate fork lifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
- Reading, General Math and Writing Skills.
- Organized and able to multi-task.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General knowledge of welding/fabrication
- General knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical
- Ability to work overtime including, holidays, nights, and weekend shifts
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing and able to stand for several hours.
- Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with use of PPE
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodations
- General knowledge of boilers/steam systems
- General knowledge with programming technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD)
- Technical school preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
