Starting Pay Range - $17-20
OVERALL SUMMARY
Under general supervision, perform plant maintenance tasks in a timely safe manner on various sorts of equipment along with building maintenance and grounds keeping.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Inspect equipment/buildings for needed repairs and maintenance.
• Grounds keeping work (Mowing, landscape work, shoveling snow, spreading ice melt and operating a plow truck as required)
• Maintain heating and cooling system as required. Filter changes and washing condenser coils
• Repair shop air lines as required.
• Change light bulbs as required.
• Parts running around town as required.
• Operate forklifts, scissor-lifts, man lifts as required.
• Operate and repair various machines, such as press break, punches, mills, radial drills etc. This includes performing preventative maintenance such as change filters, oil and greasing.
• Perform lock out tag out and other safety procedures as needed.
• Use trouble shooting skills to repair different equipment around the shop.
• Operate and repair drills, grinders, and other hand power tools.
• Perform basic plumbing installations and repairs on various fixtures.
• Perform carpentry work including building and constructing walls, light drywall work, ceiling repairs, etc.
• Read repair manuals, tech manuals and electrical schematics.
• Basic electrical work (AC voltage, DC voltage).
• Keeps records and instruct others as required.
• Perform related tasks with limited supervision.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Individual must possess these knowledge's, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Ability to work or be ready to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to analyze and assess all assigned work for safety hazards and maintain safe company practices.
• Must be able to operate a zero turn lawn mower.
• Must be able to operate a weed eater.
• Ability to operate a skid loader.
• Ability to operate a plow truck.
• Must be able to take direction at the beginning of the shift and work independently and effectively.
• Self-motivated individual to make sure the task at hand is finished and check all repairs to ensure the assigned task is complete.
• Basic industrial electricity (480 volts, 208 volts, 120 volts and 24 vdc).
• Understanding of equipment, methods and materials used in moderate levels of construction of building walls, hanging doors and windows.
• Basic plumbing, ie clearing clogged sewer drains if needed.
• Basic heating and cooling system operations.
• Good math and measurement skills.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Skills in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Operating power tools and mechanical equipment effectively and safely.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle. (pass driving records check through the company)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
