SUMMARY
Self-starter working with or without general supervision performs journey-level work on single and 3-phase electrical systems. Repairs and installs all types of electrical equipment including light switches, flex and rigid conduit, breakers, electrical panels, ballasts, receptacles, and conduit. Maintains accurate drawings of all electrical wiring runs and panels. Able to set up temporary power services for special events. Procures materials, maintain records of project costs, and provides progress reports as required to the Facilities Manager. Maintains tools, equipment, and material stocks. Assists other crafts as assigned. The shift will include 24-hour on-call with a 2-hour minimum pay for each call out.

- Ensures the safety of all team members and patients by enforcing all safety rules and procedures. Interprets blueprints and technical manuals.
- Able to work with single and 3-phase electrical systems.
- Diagnoses and resolves electrical problems independently.
- Tests electrical circuits to ensure integrity and safety. Splices, joins, and connects wires to form circuits.
- Positions, installs, and maintains distribution and control equipment such as circuit breaker panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes, and related devices.
- Assembles, installs, repairs, maintains, and tests electrical fixtures, control equipment, communications, light, heat, and power systems.
- Pulls wire through conduits and openings in walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Cuts, threads, bends, assembles, and installs conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials necessary to ensure a timely response to most routine work requests.
- Able to make judgment calls based on the demands of facilities objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
- Executes the policies, procedures, protocols, and controls that govern the Facilities Department.
- Takes personal responsibility for their attitude, and performance seeking to consistently strive to improve.
- Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
