Position Description
The Maintenance Clerk performs managerial duties and tasks for the maintenance department.
Responsibilities include:
Order parts and equipment for production; ensure correct pricing as listed in the system. Check for parts to ensure best price and quality.
Send parts and vehicles out for repair, track them as necessary.
Create and post work orders for repairs.
Set up new parts in system and label.
Create purchase orders; clear the purchase orders as invoices are received. Log parts that are received and put them away.
Take inventory of parts as necessary.
Maintain stock room order and cleanliness File purchase orders, work orders and invoices.
Reconcile and prepare shop payroll. Maintain vehicle and equipment files. Prepare files for DOT Inspection.
Answer phones.
Work cooperatively with mechanics, fellow employees and all customers to resolve issues.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills High School diploma or GED.
Ability to make decisions based on standard practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, grammar or general high school subject matter. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Associate’s degree.
Maintenance knowledge.
Experience in passenger transportation Computer literacy
Working Conditions Repetitive work in a fast-paced environment with average temperature of 60-100 degrees F. Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. Proper footwear (safety rated) and clothing are required.
Ability to frequently handle material weighing up to 50 lbs. from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying. Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
