Responsibilities:
Position Summary

The Maintenance Base Coordinator will impact PSA Airlines’ growth by providing day to day coordination of administrative and office support for maintenance leaders as well as unionized team members at our bases. This position will handle payroll, document filing, and office supply management. This position will ensure ideal working conditions for our maintenance personnel and employee satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize payroll system to process payroll and resolve issues
  • Provide adequate tracking of base personnel attendance/sick time usage
  • Maintain accurate accounting of petty cash
  • Assist in the onboarding of new hires
  • Maintain up to date SIDA badge tracking and renewal for base.
  • Create travel arrangements and per diem requests for employees as required
  • Coordinate and schedule eye exams for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) qualified technicians
  • File and maintain all maintenance-related reports and checklists
  • Oversee processing of local invoices
  • Ensure all office maintenance and vendor manuals are consistently up to date
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and packages
  • Filing and organizing records, invoices, and other important documentation
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and vendors
  • Sort and distribute company mail on a daily basis
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Position Specifics:
Qualifications

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 2 years’ experience working in an office environment
  • Previous experience processing payroll
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
  • Experience working with a unionized environment

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Maintenance.
Authorities:None
Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
