Maintenance Aide - Homewood Suites

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel. Provide guests with well-maintained building and grounds. The Maintenance Aide is responsible for minor repairs and upkeep throughout the building and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Chief. Our goal is providing the best service possible; therefore, honoring guest requests is our specialty.
JOB PROFILE:
1. Building/Grounds Upkeep

• Maintains the hotel grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and resemble equipment.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance to guest rooms to ensure everything is in proper working order.
• Assists in moving materials, supplies, equipment, etc.

2. Equipment Upkeep

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
• Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to manufacturer specifications and local Health department regulations.

3. Maintenance Knowledge and Compliance

• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks, as well as when using equipment and supplies.
• Ensures that established infection control practices are maintained when performing maintenance duties.
• Follows proper techniques for mixing chemicals, cleaning disinfectants and solutions.

4. Compliance and Record Keeping

• Completes all company and Brand required training.
• Assists Maintenance Chief in maintaining key control files and logs.
• Maintains a work order assignment board and track completed/pending work orders. Follows up on all incomplete work orders to inform the requesting guest or department of the status of their work order.
