Dillard's is looking for an ambitious, seasoned Mainframe System Administrator to join our team! The mainframe is the heartbeat of Dillard's, and we need someone who can make valuable contributions to maintaining and improving it. THE TEAM
This position is on our Mainframe System and Storage Administration Team, which is responsible for our corporate mainframe infrastructure. This team supports a dynamic environment with a focus on software installation and maintenance, performance tuning, documentation, and problem determination/resolution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform z/OS Systems Administration
- Support z/OS utilities: TSO, ISPF, IDCAMS, IEFBR14, SMPE, HCD, GDPS
- Work with development on Batch and CICS COBOL questions and problems
- Troubleshoot JCL, JES2, VSAM, TSO, VTAM, TCP/IP and RACF functions
- Work with our online system security team
- Perform system parameters/parmlib maintenance
- Work with operations to monitor, maintain, and IPL systems to improve consistency and availability
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and exercises
- Perform security hardening and remediation of all supported infrastructure
- Participate in an on-call rotation
THE "MUST-HAVES"
- 5+ years mainframe administration experience
- Solid mainframe environment experience (know your way around TSO, ISPF, JES2)
- Experience in most of the following: RACF, SMPE, VTAM, REXX, System Exits, StarTool, TPX, JHS, Zeke, ChangeMan, BMC Tools, WLM, Connect Direct, zSecure, Zowe, zOSMF, NetView, DumpMaster, ssh, AT-TLS, co:Z Toolkit, SyncSort MFX, Splunk, IBM Assembler
- Effective oral and written communicator with a positive attitude
- Work well under pressure, grasp new ideas quickly, and be able to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment
- Ability to maintain a schedule-driven project list while handling interruptions in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to work onsite at the Corporate Office in Little Rock, AR
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
THE "NICE-TO-HAVES"
- Knowledge of IBM Safeguarded Copy, Cyber Vault, Cobol, Splunk
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL
- Have a high-level understanding of Dillard's mainframe infrastructure that the team maintains and administers
- Collaborate with areas of our IT department to resolve any access issues and begin maneuvering through the various screens with guidance, making small changes
- Meet regularly with team lead to ask any questions/fill in any knowledge gaps
WITHIN 2 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Collaborate with team members to gain enough knowledge to fully document one product to act as a secondary support person
- Be able to understand the various emails the team receives, asking questions as needed
WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Be able to perform small changes independently as requested by your team lead
- Gain enough knowledge to become the primary support person for one product
- Be able to run basic Splunk queries for insight into system operations
- Begin taking your turn in on-call rotation with guidance
