Position Function:

The Commercial Banking Administrator will provide exceptional service to grow our business, advocate our mission and be committed to creating value for our customers, employees, community and shareholders. The Administrator should exercise independent judgment in resolving operational issues on behalf of clients and primarily responsible for training lower graded Specialists.

Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is expressly aligned with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a “Voyaging Spirit” and being “Positively Ohana”. Exhibits core competencies that result in consistent delivery of positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership and demonstrates key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution Oriented and Thoroughness.

Primary Accountabilities:

Team Focused Leadership:

  • Contribute to the Team to enhance timely and accurate preparation of loan documents, resolving timely and accurate customer service issues (deposits and loans), and fully informing Relationship Officer (R.O.) of any customer relationship issues.
  • Assist the Team by helping to drive and steer the loan request from origination to booking, informing R.O. of any delays in the loan closing process, and assist R.O. with loan closings.
  • Assist the Team by working well with internal and external customers of the Bank.
  • Contribute to the growth and career development of Specialists, Underwriters and Relationship Officers.
  • Communicate actively and effectively

Financial Results:

  • Primarily responsible to the Team for reaching or exceeding its financial goals (includes managing a deposit portfolio and attaining deposit goals established by Manager and proactively seeking deposit and loan opportunities with assigned accounts and prospects.).
  • Constantly seek opportunities to grow the Team's portfolio.
  • Constantly seek efficiencies (including oversight of Specialist(s)

Relationship Banking:

  • Assists the Team by building trust with clients. Be attentive, anticipate, over-deliver, communicate frequently and satisfy requests promptly.
  • Constantly seek opportunities to surprise and delight clients.
  • Assist the Team by being familiar with products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Actively participate on joint calls with R.O.

Risk Management/Compliance:

  • Assist the Team by understanding policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Team by minimizing ticklers, exceptions and delinquencies
  • Personal/Professional Development
  • Assist the Team in participating in Bank functions and training sessions.
  • Assist the Team and community by participating in non-profits and other community endeavors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in business loan and deposit servicing experience required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
