We are a government contractor looking for a part-time competent Mailroom Sorter who is organized and has a solid judgement to be an excellent sorter.
Job Duties include:
- Distributing all mail and inter-office mail and materials.
- Process outgoing US mail including sealing, weighing, posting and sorting.
- Ensure all operational procedures are followed.
- Opening and reading mail as necessary to determine appropriate routing.
- Processing outgoing mail and UPS.
- Maintaining inventories of office supplies.
- Assist with metering outgoing mail for collection by the Postal Service by the close of the business day.
- Assist with delivering the mail after the sort has been completed.
- Assist with delivering incoming packages to various departments and floors using a hand held electronic devices to obtain signatures.3
- Collect outgoing mail from the various departments and return to Mailroom.
- Assist with picking up packages and equipment from various locations throughout the facility for shipment or internal transfer.
- Assist with delivering incoming packages to various departments and floors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 3 years general office experience.
- Proficient with computers.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Team worker with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- MUST have a SECRET clearance or be able to get one. Candidates with an active SECRET clearance preferred.
