Mailroom Sorter

We are a government contractor looking for a part-time competent Mailroom Sorter who is organized and has a solid judgement to be an excellent sorter.

Job Duties include:

• Distributing all mail and inter-office mail and materials.
• Process outgoing US mail including sealing, weighing, posting and sorting.
• Ensure all operational procedures are followed.
• Opening and reading mail as necessary to determine appropriate routing.
• Processing outgoing mail and UPS.
• Maintaining inventories of office supplies.
• Assist with metering outgoing mail for collection by the Postal Service by the close of the business day.
• Assist with delivering the mail after the sort has been completed.
• Assist with delivering incoming packages to various departments and floors using a hand held electronic devices to obtain signatures.3
• Collect outgoing mail from the various departments and return to Mailroom.
• Assist with picking up packages and equipment from various locations throughout the facility for shipment or internal transfer.
• Assist with delivering incoming packages to various departments and floors.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years general office experience.
• Proficient with computers.
• Proficient in data entry.
• Team worker with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• MUST have a SECRET clearance or be able to get one. Candidates with an active SECRET clearance preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 per hour
