Job description

Keep three dual Agissar extraction machines loaded and operating at noless than 90% of machine capacity. Prepare production and quality reports for management review.  Monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting improvements to management regarding the work distribution and performance of DCI.  Acts as a backup to the lead or NE9.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Keep 3 dual Agissar extraction machines loaded with envelopes and operating at no less than 90% of machine capacity.
  • Jogs incoming mail to settle envelope contents. Keeps the input hopper loaded with mail to be opened and maintains a constant flow of envelopes.  Clears any rough condition mail or other stoppages that may occur.
  • Oversees, schedules, and ensures accurate work in daily processing of customer accounts according to procedures. Informs management of any exceptions.
  • Delivers prepped mail to the scanning staging area.
  • Recognizes and diagnoses mechanical problems with Agissars, initiates light maintenance and repairs.
  • Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting improvements to management concerning the work distribution and performance of DCI.
  • Ensures each batch is accurately entered into the InfoPoint computer.
  • Maintains neat and professional work area.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with Cass policies and procedures.
  • Works overtime as required by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to organize work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain a positive attitude, and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to utilize computer software tools to develop and maintain department information.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of experience in the utility department.
  • A strong knowledge of utility bill processing and Cass procedures.
  • Experience in a production-oriented processing environment.
  • Experience with processing high volume mail including prep, sort, and extraction work.
