A Mailroom Associate is responsible for performing various tasks related to the handling, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages within an organization. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Mailroom Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of mailroom activities and timely delivery of mail to intended recipients.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming mail, packages, and deliveries from postal services, couriers, and interoffice mail.
- Sort and categorize incoming mail and packages based on department, recipient, or other specified criteria for accurate distribution.
- Process outgoing mail by weighing, stamping, and affixing postage using postage meters or stamps.
- Prepare bulk mailings, such as newsletters, announcements, or promotional materials, for distribution.
- Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, envelope sealers, and mail sorting machines, efficiently and safely.
- Distribute mail and packages to designated recipients within the organization using internal mail systems or personal delivery.

Pay: $24.85 - $26.00 per hour
