Job Description
One of Robert Half's clients needs a dynamic, self-motivated and organized Mailroom Assistant! Candidates who can receive and sort mail and packages in a centralized room before distributing the items to appropriate departments and individuals will be interested in this thriving company's Mailroom Assistant role. This role is also concerned with managing and maintaining physical and digital mail-sorting systems. Apply as soon as possible! Major responsibilities
- Encourage employees complete diverse projects as necessary
- Extract data within allotted time frames
- Record, group, and/or distribute mail and packages
- Administer clerical tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing
- Apply mail processing equipment
- Steer clear of assembly errors by maintaining an organized work station
- Produce high volume of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents within specified guidelines
- Check in and sort all incoming mail and packages from various carriers
- Uphold optimal machine performance by troubleshooting simple problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.)- FedEX experience
- Data entry experience highly desired
- Proficiency in International Shipping
- Lifting experience preferred
- Expertise in mailrooms
- 1+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume mailroom setting
- Complete general clerical operations tasks that are routine and/or repetitive in nature
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Trained to handle office equipment
- Full comprehension of mail processing at organizational level
- A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional time management skills preferred
