Job description

Mail Supervisor supervises mail/office agents with the responsibilities of supervising daily operating tasks to ensure on time completion. This position requires multi-tasking, attention to detail, problem resolution to ensure that all SM and United Airlines policies and procedures are executed in accordance with airline, government, and airport regulations. This position reports directly to the Manager of Operations.

Salary Range:  The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $45,000 - $46,000 per year. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare for shift and meet with counterparts to review outstanding issues 
  • Set daily goals and completes office/mail walk through and end shift report
  • Executes the daily operating plan such as print arrival manifests and complete several walk-throughs to ensure all agents are on target to complete daily tasks
  • Works closely with leads, MOP office agents, flight desk agents, to ensure that all freight is received and staged per United Airlines guidelines
  • Manage office supply inventory process
  • Maintain effective communication with Leads and Agents to promote an open-door policy
  • Attends daily and weekly staff meetings and partner with management team to achieve positive results for all agent's safety and well-being
  • Provide facility tour and training to new hires

 

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or GED with 1+ years of supervisory experiences
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Complete SM Training Matrix
  • Complete THINK training
  • Complete UALearning Modules
  • Knowledge of MS Office software: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Exceptional attention to detail
