Position Summary:
- Responsible for setting up and operating Stand Alone Meter per predetermined guidelines.
- Ensures accurate class and postage is applied to each mail job.
- Ensures correct account is applied to each mail job.
- Sets-up and operates the Computer Output Mailing System (COMS) with limited assistance.
- Ensures proper inserts and carrier are used.
- Programs all outgoing corporate mail on COMS according to proper inserts, weights, postage, etc. per predetermined guidelines.
- Maintains accurate counts of documents processed daily.
- Ensures equipment is operational and maintenance is up to date, including thorough cleaning.
Job Requirements:
- Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of a production mail environment is preferred
- Requires in-depth knowledge of or ability to learn USPS regulations and mailing standards
- Requires the ability to perform a variety of work assignments and effectively cope with change, shifts gears comfortably and acts without having the total picture.
