Magento Front End Developer

We are seeking a qualified Magento Front End Developer who will support our CMS & maintain and establish a growing database of Scosche customers. In this role, you hold a front-line position creating and building relationships and representing Scosche. Goals will include pitching relevant products and ensuring that our existing and new customers have a positive experience from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working in Oxnard, California to support the position of Magento Front End Developer. This is not a remote position.

• Experience working on CMS & e-commerce platforms such as: Magento, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Shopify & WooCommerce

• Implement responsive and mobile-friendly website features to ensure optimal user experience across different devices and screen sizes.

• Develop custom landing pages utilizing HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, bootstrap, and other web technologies.

• Integrate third-party modules with Magento platform.

• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code using best practices and coding standards.

• Verify that design and functional requirements are met through quality assurance (QA) testing.

• Create and document technical solutions to improve functionality and experience of eCommerce websites.

• Optimize website performance and security by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and implementing performance tuning techniques.

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field from an accredited institution.

• 2+ years of website development and eCommerce experience

• Solid understanding of web development technologies such as client-side and server-side JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, and XML, PHP, MYSQL

• Experience in developing and/or deploying responsive websites.

• Ability to create sites with a responsive design for mobile and tablet devices.

• Web accessibility compliance knowledge is a plus.

• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills

• Enjoys participating in a collaborative environment.

• Hybrid schedule after training. In office required. 4 in office/1 remotely.
