2nd Shift Pay: $21.16 /hour (includes 8% shift premium)
2nd Shift Hours: 2:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. (Monday through Friday)
As a Machinist Technician at Caterpillar, you will:
The primary role will be to load and position heavy fabrication metal component in robotic weld fixtures using lifting devices.
Initial set up and operation of CNC and/or robot welding machines.
Ability to learn and follow welding and/or machinist standard processes and procedures.
Basic robot maintenance including but not limited to, clearing faults, resetting the robot, replacing weld tips, restringing weld wire, and rehoming the robot.
Basic Requirements:
6 months of previous work experience.
Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Willing and able to perform repetitive operations.
Willing and able to lift to 35 lbs.
Top Candidates will also have:
Prior experience with hand tools or power tools.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
Heavy equipment machine assembly experience.
Previous work experience operating an electric hoist to lift more than 35 lbs.
Proven track record of good attendance and work history.
