Accountable for:

Operating surface grinder as needed to sharpen steel punches/dies

Perform basic machining, drilling, CNC operations, and programming

Working closely with experienced staff to learn unique aspects of our machinist position

Be a team player and follows good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety

Maintains and cares for all machinery, tools and equipment and keeps work area neat and clean within 5S standards.

Working independently, or with a team, building and finishing molds using a variety of machine shop equipment such as drills, mills, saws, and lathes

Work assigned will match the ability and background of the individual

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

To be considered for this position a person must have a knowledge of basic machining operations. Ideally a one or two year diploma / degree in tool and die or machine tool technics has been completed. Background as a machinist, moldmaker, or diemaker is desired.
