Form of workScientific Products, an ATS Company is expanding our team and have immediate opening for a Machinist – 1st Shift!.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workplace, sequence of fabrication operations and set-up requirements.
- Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories/materials and programs machines such as mills, lathes and CNC machining equipment.
- Sets-up, starts, and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
- Able to safely operate material handling equipment, including but not limited to: cranes, fork trucks, scissor lifts etc. where required and available.
- Verifies dimensions and performs incoming and work-in-process inspections of machined components, fabricated parts, and assemblies.
- Installs machined parts in fabricated assemblies, mechanisms and equipment.
