What the Position is About:
- Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information
- Identify emerging technology to be integrated within the company
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Provide training on production/shop floor tasks for new employees and refresher training as needed
- Provide the leadership and training for CNC programmers
- Apply engineering principles or practices to emerging fields
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
- Utilize systems to perform duties and process changes to products/procedures
- Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- Associate's Degree in CNC Machining, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in machining, working with tooling, additive manufacturing, or programming/automation
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and computer generated reports
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Experience using complex technical tools, CAD and CAM
