Machine Tool Operator -- 2Nd Shift

Starting Rate: $19.00/hour ($18.00/hr + $1.00/hr for shift differential)

Why You Matter:

As a Machine Tool Operator, you will be an integral part of our team producing our Lantech Stretch wrappers. You will be working with saws and drill presses that machine the necessary steel parts used to craft the Semi-Automatic stretch wrappers or our Conveyors for our more complex machines. These machines contribute directly to the supply line that moves essential goods around the country and the rest of the world.

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As Machine Tool Operator at Lantech you will:

• Be running the horizontal band saw and cutting material to specific length.
• Use a drill press to drill and tap holes to designated size.
• Follow standardized work to ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are met.
• Be standing 9-10 hours per day.
• Occasionally be lifting loads up to 50 lbs.
• Be willing/able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.

What are we Looking For? (Requirements)

We are look for someone who:

• Has some mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation experience.
• Is able to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
• Is capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs.
• Is willing/able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is detail-oriented and able to work effectively within the fast-paced production environment.
• Is willing and able to train and operate a Raymond fork truck to move steel.
• Is customer focused with a strong commitment to the production schedule.
• Has prior experience using band saw and drill press.
• Has a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus.
• Is authorized to work in the U.S.
