**Position Information 

**

Job Summary:

This entry level Finisher role will execute basic finishing operations in accordance with specs documented on the job order.Other production duties will be done quickly and effectively such as sandblasting and/or operating a tumbler.This is accomplished by honoring Tecomet’s values of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Innovations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out basic finishing processes, including deburring, hand grinding, and polishing, break edges.
• Perform sand blasting using a blast cabinet to put a finish on parts and become adept at knowing which blasting medium should be used for different operations.
• Perform required set-ups and operation of the relevant finishing equipment ensuring the right equipment is used to apply proper finish.
• Acquire Production Approval (PA) when stated on job router or work order.
• Counts parts before beginning to work on job and when finished before moving on to next operation.
• Actively participates in 5S daily operator checklist responsibilities.
• Additional duties may be assigned by production supervisor to meet Company production goals.

**Qualification Requirements

**

Educational/Training Requirement:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:

• Preferred three to six months experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to read basic blueprints.
• Accurately use all measuring equipment necessary to complete job.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Listening, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret quality standards and work orders; ability to communicate clearly with production team on quality issues.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and to report all unsafe activities to supervisor.
• Able to meet production metrics as required for position.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements per the employee handbook policy.
• Able to communicate respectfully with other and work in a team environment.
• Learn and practice daily any/all Lean practices introduced in the area.
• Participate as a team member when asked for a kaizen event.
