ATI is currently seeking a Machine Shop Manager to join our facility located in Irvine, CA. As a successful Machine Shop Manager, your primary responsibilities include supervising and scheduling Machine Shop operations while ensuring a safe work environment, product quality, and efficient operations. This includes but is not limited to process improvement, equipment improvement (TPM), and training improvement.

Essential Functions:

• Plan and direct department activities to obtain safe and efficient operations.
• Work toward establishing a team environment that fosters a culture of Safety and Quality.
• Manage department scheduling that include demand planning and forecasting.
• Provide frontline supervision for department(s) workforce, including performance management, time and attendance management, vacation scheduling and overtime planning and management.
• Manage Machine Shop engineering support activities.
• Provide and coordinate department support for CNC and manual machining centers.
• Lead team in weekly safety meetings, problem solving reports, incident reports, task audits, business planning, safety observation goals and development activities including standard work development.
• Monitor and coordinate training to ensure tasks are completed as required by standard work and work instructions.
• Write new and correct existing documents to reflect current work practices.
• Evaluate performance, recommend appropriate disciplinary action as needed, and interpret and enforce ATI's policies.
• Eliminate wastes through standardization, best practices, line stops, and verbatim compliance.
• Ensure strict adherence to both internal customers and third-party requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing process for CNC's, Manual Lathes, Water-Jet, and CMM.
• Manage measuring tools and documentation.
• Recognize, source, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the Machine Shop work environment.
• Develop, implement and maintain best in class manufacturing processes.
• Execute equipment maintenance programs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or business-related field.
• 10+ years of management experience.

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience in managing Machine Shop operations.

Salary Range: $8,075/monthly - $12,900/monthly
